Spicy Cajun Beef Wraps

Published: May 23rd, 2011 / Last updated: January 1st, 1970

Serves 4 / Calories per serving = 300 approx

  • spicy cajun beef wraps2 lean rump steaks (140g each approx), cut into thin strips
  • 1 large onion, halved and sliced
  • 1 large pointed red pepper, sliced into 3 inch strips
  • 1 medium courgette (zucchini), sliced into 3 inch strips
  • ½ tablespoon of olive oil
  • 4 teaspoons of Philadelphia Light cheese spread
  • 4 tortilla wraps

  1. Fry the vegetables in the oil, over a medium heat, until slighty brown and softened. Stir frequently.
  2. Move the veg to a plate and fry the beef quickly in the remaining oil/juices. This will literally take a minute.
  3. Sprinkle the beef liberally with Cajun spices and toss well before turning out onto a plate.
  4. Warm the tortilla wraps in the microwave for 20 seconds before taking all ingredients to the table.

Extra information:

To make each wrap, place a few strips of everything down the middle of a tortilla and spread on a teaspoon of the cream cheese to cool the taste of the Cajun beef. Wrap the tortilla tightly and enjoy!

As an alternative you could also substitute the cream cheese for yogurt or creme fraiche, depending on what you have in the fridge.
